Alleged Paramour Identified In Divorce Proceedings Sues Husband for Defamation

Divorces can be emotionally trying times not only for the husband and wife involved, but for other people as well. We recently read an interesting news story that demonstrates this, but in a rather unexpected way.

A Gretna, Louisiana, man who was identified as a woman's paramour by that woman's husband in his divorce filing has filed a lawsuit over the allegation.

In the divorce proceedings, the husband alleged that his wife and the plaintiff entered into an adulterous relationship in February 2013. The plaintiff denies that he had an improper relationship with the wife and has sued for defamation.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for mental anguish, humiliation, distress, financial damages and pain and suffering, according to The Louisiana Record.

Now, it is very important to note that things don't have to be this way. If separating from your spouse with as little emotional trouble as possible is important to you, an experienced and client-focused divorce attorney can make sure that happens for you.
